My family both present and past are my continuing inspirations They provide me with foundation and strength which I strive to cultivate in my young son today. I grew up in rural Indiana and learned very quickly about our dependence on family, neighbor and earth. My life as a mother and wife has taken me far from where I grew up but the values and memories will remain with me always. Stories about my ancestors struggling to make a life in southern Kentucky inspire me today. They valued everything they had knowing it might never be replaced. They reused and recreated ordinary objects such as sacks and worn out clothing into beautiful quilts to honor them again. This is my direction. This is my inspiration. I want to live in harmony with my world loving my God, respecting our earth and instilling this in my little Jack.
